Appendix B: NPCs

Shonin Maruta ('Log the Merchant') is a fat tradesman who makes regular trips to Tachima province. He has no combat skills, but has 70% Fast Talk and 70% Merchant Craft skills.

Taka ('Hawk') the merchant's son is 17, he has 40% 2H Masakari (axe). If another PC is needed he could become the PCs' servant and loyal follower.

Karuma Maru's story will be found in Appendix C. If he is an NPC, he is an average samurai.
